Bring back classic sports cars with modern performance and reliability that are meant to be driven.
Over the years I have restored sports cars to award winning concours levels. These restorations are beautiful cars. Sadly, the cars became museum pieces and are rarely enjoyed like they were when the cars were new. Driving restored classic sports cars also reminds us of just how much performance and reliability expectations have changed since these cars were originally introduced. But the fact remains, these classic cars do have a soul, and my objective is to bring back the thrill of driving a classic sports car.
Many have asked why the MGB was selected as the starting point for Snake River Classics transformations. The body construction is modern (unibody) and the body style has held up well over the years. On the other hand, the drive train and suspension are very dated. Solution – select a current engine/transmission with high reliability, engineer a complete suspension system capable of high performance, and restore the exterior and interior of the body back to virtually the original appearance but with higher quality materials.
These transformations are special cars. Made by enthusiasts for enthusiasts. Cars meant to be driven and not just admired. Cars that bring back the joy of driving!
